Privacy policy
This policy explains what Placiva receives, what stays in your browser, when provider sharing can happen, and how you can ask for help with your information.
Placiva is built for U.S. home safety planning and provider requests. You can browse the public guides without submitting a project request.
This policy is meant to be practical, not vague. It explains the information that may be involved when you use the calculators, project brief, request form, provider form, contact path, cookies, and optional analytics.
Quick summary
- Project drafts from the calculator, explorer, and project brief can be saved in your browser. Placiva does not receive those drafts unless you submit a form.
- A provider request may collect your contact details, project location, project type, timing, budget range, notes, and consent choices.
- Placiva may share your submitted project request with matching U.S. providers only when the request flow asks for that consent and you give it.
- Optional analytics is off unless you accept it. Analytics may include Google Analytics page measurement and Microsoft Clarity usage insights, and should not include form field contents.
- Do not submit medical records, financial documents, Social Security numbers, passwords, faces, or private family documents through project notes.

When Placiva shares information with providers
Provider sharing should happen only after you submit a provider request and give the consent shown in the request flow. The shared information should be limited to the details needed to decide whether the provider can respond.
Placiva does not promise that a provider will reply, quote, be available, hold a license, carry insurance, perform quality work, or accept your project. You should verify those details before hiring.
What is not currently enabled
- No phone or SMS automation by Placiva.
- No checkout, payment processing, financing application, or credit decision flow.
- No ad pixels or remarketing tags on the public site as configured.
- No broad resale of your request to unrelated buyers without a clear consent step.
- No collection of medical records, government ID numbers, Social Security numbers, or financial documents through the request form.
Cookies, local storage, and analytics
Placiva uses essential browser storage for cookie preferences, session security, and requested tool functions. Optional analytics, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, waits for your acceptance through the cookie preference control.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or a similar signal, Placiva treats that as a rejection of optional analytics where practical.
Your choices and requests
- You can reject optional analytics without blocking the public site.
- You can ask to access, correct, or delete personal information tied to your submitted request.
- You can ask Placiva not to share a request with additional providers if it has not already been routed.
- You can report unwanted contact, unclear consent, or a provider-label concern.
- You can use the contact page for privacy requests. Use the same email address connected to your request when possible.
State privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. Placiva will try to honor reasonable privacy requests even when a specific law does not require a particular response.
Placiva does not sell personal information in a broad data-broker sense. If a future sponsorship, referral, analytics, or advertising setup could be treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under an applicable state law, Placiva should provide a clear opt-out path before relying on it.
Retention and deletion
Submitted requests may be kept while needed to operate the site, respond to you, maintain consent records, prevent abuse, review provider routing, and handle legal or business records. Placiva may delete or anonymize records when they are no longer needed.
A deletion request may not remove records that Placiva must keep for security, legal, fraud-prevention, dispute, backup, or operational reasons, but Placiva should limit use of those records where practical.
Security
Placiva uses ordinary safeguards such as private storage, CSRF protection, hashed IP and browser information for submitted forms, and limited admin access. No website can promise complete security, so you should avoid sending sensitive documents or unnecessary personal details.
Children and international visitors
Placiva is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit information about a child through Placiva forms.
Placiva is U.S.-focused. If you use the site from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or by U.S.-oriented services, and the cost, provider, and rule guidance may not fit your country.
Policy changes
Placiva may update this policy as the site adds or removes features. The reviewed date shows when this page was last checked. Material changes should be reflected in the policy text and, when relevant, in the consent language shown near forms.
