Terms of use

Placiva gives you planning information and request-preparation tools. It does not give professional advice, inspect your home, or guarantee provider results.

Project request workspace with blank form, tape measure, pen, and closed laptop
A cleaner first request names the project type, timing, location fit, photos, and questions without oversharing private details.

By using Placiva, you agree to use the site as a planning aid and to verify important decisions with qualified local professionals before you hire, buy, install, or rely on anything.

U.S. scope

Placiva is built for U.S. home safety planning and U.S. provider requests. If you live outside the United States, you may still use the checklists and questions as planning prompts, but you must rely on local sources for costs, rules, providers, safety requirements, legal requirements, and healthcare guidance.

Planning estimates are not quotes

  • Calculator ranges are rough planning ranges, not provider quotes.
  • A real price can change after measurements, inspection, permits, materials, service terms, travel, home condition, urgency, and local requirements are reviewed.
  • A planning range can be wrong for your home, your provider, your region, or the person who will use the space.
  • Do not buy equipment, authorize work, or reject professional advice only because a Placiva page or tool suggested a range.

No professional advice

Placiva is not a contractor, medical provider, occupational therapist, architect, engineer, code official, permit office, legal advisor, emergency service, insurer, finance company, care agency, or warranty provider.

You should use qualified professionals when a decision depends on health, mobility, transfer ability, fall history, surgery, structural conditions, electrical work, plumbing, permits, code, legal obligations, or urgent hazards.

Provider requests and matching

  • You are responsible for submitting accurate information and avoiding unnecessary private details.
  • Placiva may use your submitted request to identify possible provider fit only when the form asks for consent and you give it.
  • Placiva does not guarantee that a provider will respond, quote, be available, be licensed, be insured, perform quality work, or accept your project.
  • Providers are responsible for their own quotes, advice, contracts, permits, licenses, insurance, warranties, work, employees, subcontractors, and follow-up.
  • You should compare providers and verify current proof before hiring.

Provider listings and sponsored placements

Public-source listings are informational starting points and may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Provider-supplied information comes from the provider. Sponsored placements are paid visibility.

Sponsored, public-source, and provider-supplied labels are not quality claims. They do not mean a provider is preferred, verified, licensed, insured, safest, cheapest, or appropriate for your home.

Your acceptable use responsibilities

  • Do not submit spam, false requests, impersonation, harassment, unlawful content, or information you do not have permission to share.
  • Do not submit medical records, financial documents, Social Security numbers, passwords, or other sensitive documents through project notes.
  • Do not scrape private endpoints, attempt to bypass admin protections, overload the site, reverse engineer private systems, or interfere with security.
  • Do not copy large parts of Placiva content into another site, ad campaign, database, or product without permission.

Site availability and changes

Placiva may change pages, tools, provider labels, policies, forms, or business models. The site may be unavailable, contain mistakes, or produce incomplete results. Placiva may remove content or restrict use when needed to protect the site or its users.

Limits of responsibility

To the extent allowed by law, Placiva is provided as-is and without warranties that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for your project, or accepted by any provider or authority. Placiva is not responsible for provider conduct, project outcomes, product performance, local rule compliance, medical decisions, or losses caused by relying on planning information without appropriate verification.

Questions and disputes

If you have a concern about these terms, a provider label, a privacy request, or a correction, use the contact page first so the issue can be reviewed with the relevant URL and facts.
